CBD ( cannabidiol), is the active ingredient in cannabis that comes from the hemp plant, but it does not cause a high and is not addictive! CBD oil comes in many different strengths, and people can utilize it in many different ways. The compound is extracted from hemp (more on this later) and then combined with formulations for products such as skincare and beauty. The 2018 Farm Bill (recent legislation on farming regulations) legalized hemp for industrial purposes, putting CBD in the spotlight of beauty lovers nationwide!

But why do you want it?

Experts attribute the popularity of CBD to its “do anything” reputation. Due to its potential anti-inflammatory properties. Aside from the usual claims of helping with anxiety and pain, but CBD may also be helpful for treating things like many skin conditions, including acne, eczema, and psoriasis because of the anti-inflammatory properties. For this reason, many high-end beauty brands have now added it to some of their products.

Tell me more!

CBD is extracted from Hemp. Hemp is defined as any part of the cannabis sativa plant (sometimes called marijuana) with less than 0.3% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (dry weight), the mind-altering substance in marijuana.
