Monday Motivation Smoothie

The weekend was rough! I didn’t get all my to do list items checked off. I barely made it to the grocery store, before our fridge was completely empty. My Sundays are usually spent prepping for the week and catching up on business items, and squeezing in a little self care. Ha, who am I kidding my squeezing in a little self time usually ends up being spending a few extra minutes double cleansing my face, only because I get distracted by other things that need done. This weekend, hit a lot harder than normal, my husband was sick and completely down for the count. As a mom that means taking on all of the responsibilities and planning for my possible down fall. I definitely was not going to get in any self care time. I was already behind on laundry, because of other things that had come up. Monday was looming and I needed a boost. I needed something to help my immune system, my mental health, that was not too heavy, that it would weigh me down. Keeping breakfast quick and simple because this mama has a lot to do today! ughh time to start tackling the days chores!

Monday Motivation Smoothie

  • 1.5 mandarin oranges
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt ( I like Chobani)
  • 1 tsp. chia seed
  • 2 slices of Avocado
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup of milk of your choice
  • 1 cup of ice

Directions

Peel and separate the mandarin orange into wedges. Toss in a blender (this is the perfect recipe for a personal sized blender). Top with yogurt, chia seed, protein powder, avocado, ice. Add your milk last to prevent splashing. Blend just enough to ensure the orange wedges are finely blended. Enjoy!
